1st Qtr 2015: 3492 EMERGENCY PATIENTS TREATED.
To help improve health-care at Dawn Leppan’s 1000 HILLS Community Helpers KwaZulu Centre, our association Zen4Zulu installed a 2 bedroom, 60m2 cottage with bathroom and kitchen, above photo, in December 2014 to lodge and feed volunteer doctors.
We serve the 1000 Hills Valley whose 31000 souls – 70% are estimated to be affected or infected by HIV/TB.
The resultant 80 emergences a day are in desperate need of life-saving care. But a doctor day costing approx €200 has become unaffordable.
Thus the Zen Cottage has, in financial terms, PAID for itself in the 1st 3 months of this year.
CHARITY AS A SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT IN HEALTH
And more importantly has made and will continue to make a huge difference to the Valley’s health-care.
If you, dear reader, are a doctor or a special needs carer wish to spend a working holiday in this idyllic Valley, to make a real difference to young lives – please contact us at http://www.Zen4Zulu.org, +33 680 582 030.
HELP ZEN4ZULU BUILDING A BETTER FUTURE.
